MOCK INTERVIEW EXPECTATIONS

ACNAA believes participating in two mock interview sessions helps applicants with readiness and enhances their confidence during an actual interview.

The first interview session aims to familiarize the prospect with interview formalities, it would help the panelists to get to know the applicants, and also set expectations for the future interview.  During the initial session, immediate feedback is given after each question is asked and specific topics/areas the panelists would like the applicants to focus on will be presented at the end of the interview session.

The last interview session, which you should schedule as close to your actual interview date as possible, is meant to simulate an actual interview environment. Feedback will be provided at the end of the session and these will be focused on: how the applicant answers each question, the length of time used in answering each question, virtual interview etiquette, and professionalism (speaking and dressing).

Interview Format

ACNAA mock interview sessions can take any of the following format

  • One-to-one (one panelist and one applicant)
  • Group session (2 to 3 panelists and 1 to 4 applicants)

Mock interview dates will be made available once a month or twice monthly during CRNA school interview period. Each applicant is allowed only 2 sessions a year. If you have an upcoming interview and there is no available mock interview date, contact your assigned mentor.
