Membership in the Association of Cameroonian Nurse Anesthetists in America is a privilege, which shall be extended only to Nursing professionals who continuously meet the qualifications, standards and requirements set forth in the Bylaws.

Membership to ACNAA shall be opened to all individuals meeting the following criteria.

    1. Persons of Cameroon origin who are qualified to practice as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
    2. Persons of non-Cameroon origin who are married to or are in a meaningful relationship to a native Cameroonian or a naturalized Cameroonian; who in addition are qualified to practice as CRNAs
    3. CRNAs of other nationalities demonstrating interest and commitment in promoting the objectives and goals of ACNAA with full understanding that the theatre of such goals and objectives are in the territorial boundary of Cameroon.
    4. A nurse who is enrolled in an anesthesia program and will meet any of A, B, and C above in the future.

Membership Categories

Active Membership.

A professional CRNA residing the United States. Active membership to the ACNAA shall be assured through meeting the criteria described and paying the required membership dues. Active members shall have the right to vote and run for elected office.

Associate Membership

Associate membership to ACNAA shall be reserved for student nurses anesthetists or organizations who are interested in advancing the goals and objectives of ACNAA but for one reason or another do not meet the eligibility requirements of active membership. The Associate member can participate in all activities of ACNAA but they have no voting rights or the rights to hold chairmanship of committees or run for elected office.

Honorary Membership

Honorary membership shall be considered for persons or organizations that have done extraordinary things to advance the goals and objectives of ACNAA. This membership status shall be bestowed on the individual or organization as determined suitable by the executive board and may not be limited to the four criteria above. Honorary members shall have similar rights as associate members
